Post-Graduation Life 

As a student for practically my whole life, I spent 8.5 years in higher education--my identity was as a student. This is was what I knew, aside from multiple part-time jobs held in college and in graduate school. Six months after graduating with my master's degrees was challenging in multiple ways. What I call this transitionary period and what I experienced is "post grad blues." I left the comfort and security as a student in a formal space and felt like a toddler or a beginner in what many people call, "the real world." Rather than calling it this, I like to call it fully owning and becoming an adult.
